It all began in 2019, in Tokyo, in the heart of the Harajuku district. Fascinated by the energy of the streets, the bold looks, the confident colors… we looked at each other and said:
Why not us?

"Us" refers to Ludivine and Brook.
Two very different worlds, but a shared vision: to create a brand that reflects us. A sincere, free fashion, inspired by our journeys, our sensibilities, our childhood dreams.

Ludivine always had a dream: to create her own clothing brand. A little girl's dream, set aside for years in favor of another magical world — that of Disney parks, where she even worked at Disneyland Paris. But over time, and especially after we met, this dream returned. Stronger. Clearer. It became essential, an obvious choice. Today, she shares her sensitivity, creativity, and messages through the visuals of MŌDO-E.

Brook, on the other hand, has always been drawn to art. From childhood, his school notebooks were filled with sketches rather than notes. After studying visual arts, he turned to music, creating music videos and album covers where he captured energies, emotions, and imaginations. And one day, the desire became clear: to bring these images out of screens, to make them live. So that art becomes something we wear, embody, and proudly display.

MŌDO-E is the fusion of all this.
A brand where clothing becomes a medium of expression.
A visual universe inspired by Japan, but designed for all people.
For those who dare to affirm who they are, in their style, their energy, their truth.

Thus, MŌDO-E was created in 2023!

As lovers of Japanese culture, the name "Mōdo-e" (モード絵) in Japanese could be a combination of "mode" (モード) and "image" (絵), which could be translated as "the image of fashion," perfectly matching this desire to create clothing with original styles and patterns.
